Matt Moog is CEO of PowerReviews, an online product review platform used by more than 1,000 brands and retailers around the world.
Matt is ceaselessly passionate about entrepreneurism and the transformative role that technology can play in our lives, and he boasts more than two decades of experience successfully scaling tech companies including raising over #200 million in outside investment.
A handful of his recent highlights include founding Built In in 2010, the FireStarter Fund in 2012, and most recently acquiring PowerReviews and merging it with Viewpoints in 2014.
Matt shares 5 tips for business leaders evaluating their workspace:
1. Location. Your office has to be accessible to your people. The closer to the train station, the better.
2. Build a collaborative space. Never underestimate your future needs for mixed-use space.
3. 200 square feet per employee. At a minimum. Every employee should have ample access to both communal and private space.
4. Be deliberate. Integrate what you do with your workspace design (functionality, signage, art, layout, etc.).
5. Focus on design. Don’t phone it in on colors and fabrics. Your employees spend a lot of time here so you want it to look like you care.
