Objective: Produce a video series with each episode telling the story of an Outcome employee who strives to “activate good” in their time outside of work.

This is not a drill. Even in the most chaotic of shooting environments we usually have the chance to get a handful of takes. There are no second takes during a solar eclipse.
The real deal. Our shoot for the second episode b-roll took place during an actual session between Ahmad and his mentee, so we planned sequences that wouldn’t impede them from making use of their time together.
One day, three locations. Capturing the perfect b-roll to tell Julie’s story required us to shoot in three locations in a single day. Between the limited period of sunlight at the forest preserve and the Light the Night Walk, our schedule’s margin of error was razor thin.

In May 2017, Outcome raised almost $600 million from investors led by Goldman Sachs, Pritzker Group Venture Capital and Google’s parent company Alphabet. The only Chicago-based company to raise more in a single round is Groupon, with $950 million in early 2011.
