Now. The opening park sequence had to have a summer vibe but it was October. We completed all creative, hired crew, cast talent, scouted and secured locations, and finished our first two shoots in two weeks to catch the last greenery of the year.
Mother Nature. The one thing we can’t control (not that we haven’t tried!). We had a 45 minute window to get the sun between two buildings but it was cloudy. With talent waiting and the clock ticking, we were on standby until the clouds cleared, and BAM! Action. Shot captured.
The people. With 38 actors, including 7 children, a crew of 18, and 30+ location contacts, the coordination and paperwork was formidable. Fortunately, we are not ones to back down from a challenge. All releases and permits were secured = no headaches later!
Sterling Bay is an iconic Chicago developer responsible for much of the redevelopment and revitalization of the Fulton Market neighborhood and is now working on one of the largest infill developments in the city’s history, Lincoln Yards.
